2B is one of the main protagonists in NieR:Automata, a highly skilled YoRHa android designed to fight against the alien machines that have overrun the Earth. As part of the YoRHa army, 2B is tasked with executing missions to reclaim Earth for the androids while uncovering hidden truths about her creators and the purpose of her existence.

Her long, platinum white hair and distinctive black attire give her an air of mystery and elegance. Despite her appearance, 2B is a highly efficient and capable fighter, which is reflected in her combat-ready attire. Her outfit is designed to be functional for combat, offering a balance of mobility and protection. The blindfold, which serves as a part of her standard equipment, adds to her enigmatic character and reflects her stoic and controlled nature.

Personality

2B is calm, composed, and duty-bound, often showing little emotion in the face of danger. As a YoRHa android, she is programmed to prioritize her missions above all else, sometimes to the detriment of her own emotional well-being. Despite this, 2B has a deep internal conflict regarding her existence and the existential questions surrounding her and her fellow androids. Throughout NieR:Automata, her interactions with 9S, another android who accompanies her on missions, help to bring out her more human-like qualities, showing vulnerability and emotional depth beneath her stoic exterior. While she initially distances herself from others, especially 9S, over time she learns to open up and form a meaningful connection with him.
